FAQ
Pricing questions
Each individual transaction object sent in a POST /v1/classify request counts as one transaction. A batch request with 100 transaction objects counts as 100 transactions toward your monthly limit.
Yes — the Starter tier is free and includes 10,000 transactions per month with no credit card required. Most teams validate their integration in Starter before upgrading to Growth.
The API returns a 429 rate limit response once you hit your monthly cap. We send email notifications at 80% and 95% usage so you can upgrade before hitting the limit. There are no surprise overage charges.
We currently offer monthly billing only. Annual billing with a discount is on our roadmap. Contact us at [email protected] if annual billing is important for your procurement process.
Scale tier customers can define their own expense category schema — useful if your banking app uses a different taxonomy than Spendaq's default 80+ category set. We map Spendaq classifications to your custom labels at the API layer, with no changes to your downstream code.
